Selfridges windows don’t have a thing on Crouchers, if you look at the photo, can you spot the Kelloggs All Bran cereal in prime position 🙈
I’ve been rummaging through loads of old photos as I wanted to show you what the original shop was like when I was lording around pretending I owned the place. This was taken outside the shop in the early 80s with my cousin (he’s the smaller of the two).
Crouchers was wonderfully chaotic - it wasn’t about aesthetics, it was about caring for the customers, community and gossip ❤️
